INSIGNIA OF A CITY REPRESENTATIVE
This is a medallion produced from golden metal that hangs on a tri-colored ribbon of yellow, white and green, the city's colors. The medal is artistically crafted with a kneeling angel in a square at the center holding a single-barred cross in both hands, its arms raised forward. Above the angel's head is an aureole. Around the square is inscribed the words SIGILLUM CIVITATIS PRIVIDIAE 1383.
These insignias are used by members of the City Council at ceremonial events, when welcoming newborn children and at other important events in the city authorized by the City Board.
